Ordering and delivery
Racking is quoted rather than sold off the shelf, because the right configuration depends on your pallets, your floor and your lift equipment. Here is how it works.
Pricing
Prices shown are F.O.B. Ottawa, Ontario and cover the equipment only. Installation, freight and any site work are quoted separately.
Volume pricing is available on full-warehouse projects. Send us your layout and we will price the whole job rather than the bays.
Lead Time
Lead times vary by product, quantity and finish. Stock items usually ship quickly; larger or custom configurations are built to order.
Contact us with your quantities for current availability before you commit to an installation date.
Shipping
Freight is quoted per order based on weight, destination and whether your site has dock access or needs a forklift.
Local delivery in the Ottawa region and installation across Canada are both available. Tell us your site conditions and we will include delivery in the quote.
Kit Contents
Starter units include 2 end frames. They are freestanding and can be installed on their own.
Add-on units include 1 end frame. They attach to an existing bay and share the neighbouring frame, so a run of racking needs one starter and an add-on for every bay after it.
Installation
Our full-time crews hold GOC Reliability and Secret security clearances and handle installation, modification, relocation and safety inspection.
Quotes can be supplied as equipment only or equipment plus installation. Tell us which you need.
Beam Capacity
Typical beam capacity is 2,500 lb per level, based on standard 40″ × 48″ pallets.
Capacity varies with beam length, gauge and configuration. Confirm the rating for your setup with us before loading.
Configuration Help
Send us your pallet dimensions, load weights, clear height and aisle width, and we will spec the beam length, upright height and level count around them.
Wire mesh decks, row spacers, column guards and anchors are all quoted alongside the racking.
Read this before you specify or load a rack
Capacities quoted for any racking product apply only to the exact configuration supplied. Actual capacity depends on beam length, upright profile, beam elevation, the number of levels and how the load sits on the beams. Changing any one of those changes the rating. Confirm the rated capacity for your configuration with us in writing before you load it.
- Rated capacities assume a level concrete floor, correct anchoring, undamaged components and evenly distributed loads.
- Every installation should carry a load capacity plaque that is legible from the aisle, as recommended by CSA A344.
- Never exceed the rated capacity, and never mix components from different manufacturers in the same bay.
- Damaged uprights, beams or braces should be taken out of service and replaced, not repaired in place.
- Changing beam elevations, adding levels or increasing loads on an existing system should be reviewed by a professional engineer before use.
- In Ontario, racking that presents a structural hazard may require a Pre-Start Health and Safety Review by a licensed Professional Engineer under Regulation 851.
Accurate Shelving supplies and installs to the manufacturer's rated specification. Responsibility for how a system is loaded, inspected and maintained after handover rests with the rack owner. If you are unsure what your configuration will carry, contact us and we will confirm it before you order.
